lilypond does not work

Hi, I've installed lilypond 2.6.0 on Cygwin
but it doen't work bacuse it cannot generate
tex and dvi file and I cannot diplay the ps file.
For the ps file the error is the following:

 /d glyphshow
 /period glyphshow
 /o glyphshow
 /r glyphshow
 /g glyphshow

Then, the script ly2dvi is not present
even if I've installed python!
