Well, no. But I know that OSX and windows have built-in software character map, and I'm certain that many exist for linux and windows.
By "docs for utf-8", I just meant the portion of the lilypond docs that discuss utf-8 -- I thought that they mentioned a few cross-platform editors which supported utf8.
