Let me suggest the following:

as it appears that this first sponsored feature will only cover the
basic functionality (The Simplest Thing That Does The Job), for this
filter to be useful, there will have to be quite a few incremental 
improvements. In order to simplify the process, I can sponsor the basic
functionality on my own, and I will let others support the complements.

Would tha be Ok with everybody ?
