Well, you can put the first half of the text in a variable, and repeat that 
variable twice, as I suggested in my other mail:
text = \lyricmode {
   "1" "2" "3" "4" "5" "6" "7" "8" _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I IV V
}

[...]

theLyrics =  \context Lyrics = "text" { \text \text }
