Automatic beaming

Hi,

 

I'm trying to get automatic beaming to do some work for me... see attached example.

 

In bar 1 & 2, I've manually beamed the quavers to how I'd like them.

 

I tried using the statement #(override-auto-beam-setting '(end * * * *) 1 4) to do this automatically, but it's not working.
