Hi Mats,
Thanks for the suggestions. But neither of those things was the problem. I had compiled the file correctly, and all of the new changes were showing up, except for the error message and the old version in the footer. Also, I'm sure that I had installed the newer version. I'm working in Linux, so in a terminal I type 'lilypond' and it tells me what version is installed.

I 'fixed' the problem by uninstalling, and removing all traces of, Lilypond, Lilypondtool, and jEdit, and then reinstalling them all. It's working fine now.

The version number in the footer corresponds to the
program version that was used to create the file. The
two main possibilities are,
- You have a newer version of LilyPond but if failed to
compile your .ly file so the PDF file you are viewing is
and old copy (check the date of the file).
- You didn't manage to install the newer version. What
operating system do you have? If you are on Windows,
always make sure to first uninstall the older version
 before installing a new version.

Hi,

I installed a newer version of LP (2.11.10), and used 'convert-ly' to convert my files. But when I run lilypond (in jEdit with lilypondtool), it tells me that the version is too old (cites the previous version - 2.11.6). It correctly compiles the file, but the footer still says version 2.11.6 on the last page.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Chris
