I assume you know how to use command line on Mac OSX ?
If you do not, here's the way: in your Finder, open
Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app

If you aren't familiar with command line, I advise you to look at
http://www.westwind.com/reference/OS-X/commandline/
for instance, or the official Apple manual at
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/Command_Line_v10.4.pdf
(starting from page 25).
