I might have this wrong, but I have problems with each of these:

    lilypond -dlog-file=log foo.ly

runs as expected, but no log is left, even if foo.ly contains errors.

    lilypond -dseparate-log-files foo.ly bar.ly

also compiles cleanly, but I get a warning --

    warning: no such internal option: separate-log-files
    
and no log files.

Thoughts?
