I use Acid Pro 6 to process the midi files I generate from LP. While not exactly "high end" it's simple enough and flexible enough to get what I want out of the sound output (essentially a demo production). One of my band mates think the drum sounds are "funny" - I'm actually pleased, and I can't get any decent rock type guitar sounds out of the computer - but that's probably more a function of the sythesizer software I'm using, which is just the defauly I get with Windows XP. I don't even bother with dynamics in my LP output - it's simpler to do that in Acid. There are some compromises - I tend to have to have a separate midi LP file to deal with things like fermatas and grand pauses, but the system works well enough for me. Unfortunately Acid is not free... > Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2007 01:45:54 -0800 > From: address@hidden > To: address@hidden > Subject: Re: dynamics used in MIDI output? > CC: address@hidden > > Sorry, I know very very little about MIDI programs; I do virtually > nothing with computer sound.
