Sorry for my headlongness! I thought it will turn good, but no. The log file still said it cannot create new staff, no matter where I placed \relative (before or after \new staff { }). I'm sending you both the .ly and log files, and, what does 18:33 and 18:13 before the error message "ignoring too many clashing notes" mean?
