Hello,

At the moment I'm working on a web app that allows visitors to compose fractal
music. My app generates MIDI files so that users can listen to the music, and
I'd also like to provide sheet music in PDF format. I just discovered Lilypad
today, and it looks perfect for this!

However, before I spend the time to make my app produce lilypad files, I wanted
to ask about the experiences of others of installing and using Lilypad on a web
server.

1. I noticed that there are a number of python scripts included in the
distribution. However, it looks like many of these are just conversion tools
for other file formats. Will python need to be installed on the web server if
all I want to do is convert .ly files to PDF?

2. The full lilypad package is rather large and includes lots of files. If all
I want is a bare-bones .ly to .pdf lilypad engraver, which files will I need?
Is there a list published somewhere so that I don't have to install the whole
thing?

3. I'm running windows, but my app will probably be hosted on a server running
linux. What are the differences, if any, between the Windows and Linux versions
of Lilypad?

Thanks,
Myron
