Hi Carl

Section 2.7.1 the subsubsection on extended and altered chords says:

"The first number following the : is taken to be the extent of the
chord. The chord is constructed by sequentially adding thirds to the
root until the specified number has been reached. If the extent is not a
third (e.g., 6), thirds are added up to the highest third below the
extent, and then the step of the extent is added. The largest possible
value for the extent is 13. Any larger value is interpreted as 13."

This does not appear to be true because of the exception for the 11th.
In fact sequential thirds are added up to the ninth or the third below
the extent whichever is lower, and then the step of the extent is added.

Your snippet examples show this and the next sentence mentions that the
eleventh is removed from 13th chords but doesn't mention 12th chords.
