Fwd: applying articulation to a series of notes

I was transcribing something, and I found myself typing the following:

   cis16-. \p e,-. fis-. gis-. a-. b-. cis-. d-. e-. cis-. d-. b-.

Now, isn't there an easier way to do this than manually to apply the staccato to every note?
