I'm having a configure error, and I don't know how to solve it. I get this:

ERROR: Please install required programs:  /Users/lilydev/bin/fontforge >= 20050624 (installed: .fontforge 20080927)
What does 'which fontforge' and '`which fontforge` --version' say?
Could you quote the relevant part of config.log about fontforge check?

There might be some problem with library path too.

Cheers,
John

The problem was all me, I forgot that fontforge needed to have access to an X window in order to check the version, and because of the way I was doing this, I had to enable X11 forwarding (which is not as straightforward as you might imagine on OSX).
All is good now.

Although apropos of nothing, what's the difference between the instructions in the AU (and on the web-site) on getting the source code, and the instructions in the CG?
