Yes, You're right, I should change << \lower >> to \lower.
I somebody else knows, what the Output_property_eOutput_property_engraver does, I still would like to know it.
It seems to be important

I don't know, either, but note that this engraver is by default a part
of the most common contexts Score, Staff and Voice.

BTW if nobody complains, I'll change

by

 \lower

in this template.
