Thank you for your fast reply - yes, you are quite right -
and after scrolling down on the /lilypond.org/web/install/#2.12 page
my problem went away just like that -

What is wrong with me or my Windows XP PC?
Subject command (sh lilypond-2.12.2-1.linux-x86.sh)
is rejected in my "DOS box"
'Der Befehl "sh" ist falsch geschrieben oder konnte nicht gefunden werden.'
Pls Help
