With "Linux" one usually means "GNU/Linux" - the operative system is GNU, and the kernel is Linux. (Like Mac OS X/Mach.)

And the GNU/Linux and FreeBSD are "UNIX-like" (POSIX). Of those listed, only Mac OS X 10.5 Intel is certified UNIX.

Hello,
I was reading the Hans post about using POSIX etc... and had a look at the source code, I saw you were using a list for the downloads, wouldn't it be better to use a table instead, something like that :

<table>
<tr>
<td><a href="Unix.html#Unix"><img src="logo-linux.png" alt="logo-linux"> <img src="logo-freebsd.png" alt="logo-freebsd"></a></td>
<td><a href="Unix.html#Unix">Unix (Linux and FreeBSD)</a></td></tr>

<tr><td><a href="MacOS-X.html#MacOS-X"><img src="logo-macosx.png" alt="logo-macosx"></td>
<td><a href="MacOS-X.html#MacOS-X">MacOS X</a></td></tr>

<tr><td><a href="Windows.html#Windows"><img src="logo-windows.png" alt="logo-windows"></td>
<td><a href="Windows.html#Windows"> Microsoft Windows</a></td></tr>
</table>

after you can style it in css to vetically align the img and the text.

Regards
Matthieu
