Sorry, I have no idea about it at all.  I have not taken even a brief look
at polyphony.

Without looking, I would assume that you'd have to rewrite some part of the
code to check what the parent context is, and if it's Staff, use Voice; if
it's TabStaff, use TabVoice; if it's DrumStaff, use DrumVoice, etc.

But this is just the babbling of an idiot, because I literally haven't
looked at it.

If you try looking at it and get stuck, I'll see if I can help.  But it
won't be this week; I'm on 12 hour shifts at a (non-air-conditioned)
shipyard in Mississippi this week.
