Surprisingly this works for me with 2.13.8 without adding "usual
things".

These "usual things" are :
% Printing mark at the end of a line : 
\once \override Score.RehearsalMark #'break-visibility =
#end-of-line-visible

% Printing mark over the last bar line (last of the piece) :
\once \override Score.RehearsalMark #'break-visibility =
#begin-of-line-invisible
