Hi,

There have been some discussions in the past about developing a
MusicXML backend for LilyPond, but so far (AFAIK) no one has started

We have an enhancement request on our bug tracker for this issue:

http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=665

Thanks,
Patrick
