This is the way the New Josquin Edition prints mensural music, because
bar lines between staves interfere with the text.

This did the trick, and thanks to Matthew for the tip about the timing
translator and the bar line engraver; it's just that I made those
changes years ago for a Palestrina mass and I can't remember why I
made them.
