Instead of lilypond-book you can produce eps's which you can
manually \input, for an example see Makefile sommar.tex etc. at:

 http://turkos/git/musik/songs/
 (or do git clone git://turkos.aspodata.se/musik.git)

That way your main file will be a tex-file, which might suit you
better if you are using musixtex.
