Hi,
Move #(set-global-staff-size 15) outside (before) the \book block.
When I compile your code as it with 2.14.2 I got the following error:
error: syntax error, unexpected SCM_TOKEN
#(set-global-staff-size 15)
(besides the fact that you did not gave the definition of "melodya",
"melodyb" and "melodyc"). Then it works great.
