If you look back through the user list archives, this is not the
first time that users have had problems finding the downloadable
PDFs of the 2.16 documentation. See
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lilypond-user/2012-09/msg00012.html.
With previous versions, the downloadable PDFs could be accessed
directly from the web page
http://lilypond.org/manuals.html,
but this is no longer the case.
