I tested:

\new Staff {
     \afterGrace
     \pitchedTrill
     fis''2
     \startTrillSpan gis''
      { e''16[ fis''] }
     g''2
     \stopTrillSpan
}

with 2.14.2, 2.16.0 and 2.17.6

No warnings.
Output is always quite equal (some differents in spacing, etc)
