A very good reference (not quite reading from cover to cover) is: R. Kent Dybvig: "The Scheme Programming Language", 4-th edition, MIT Press, last print 2009. I started to understund the recursion and how scheme syntax looks.. And a question for lilypond developers. Why have you decided to use scheme?!
