Dear Helge,

At page 5 is a gap in the lyrics of the gregorian chant (gi - na). The syllable 'na' is not centered on the note. Do you know the reason for this?

Thanks for spotting this! No, I don't know the reason, and it seems that the
error was copy-pasted from http://lilypond.org/examples.html#Early-Music

The source code for this was taken from http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=lilypond.git;a=blob;f=Documentation/ly-examples/ancient-headword.ly

Maybe someone more sophisticated in Lilypond than myself can spot the problem?

At page 13 we read that letters are notes. At page 20 letters migrate to pitches. I think the latter is correct. I know the picture comes from the 'official' Lilypond material. Probably this could be clarified.

I agree that this should be "pitches" and suspect the "notes" might be a direct translation, maybe from the German "Noten". If required (in our case it wasn't), this can be easily explained in the workshop.
If someone wants to edit the original figure from the Lilypond documentation,
I'll be happy to incorporate it, but I won't do a new one myself :)

At page 17 is a typo. You find the correct spelling here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29 This would also be more specific at the required 'module'.

Please clarify - are you complaining about my use of the word "module"?

I think I took this from http://frescobaldi.org/download, where the package is referred to as the
"Visual C++ 2008 runtime module", which I shortened to "module" mainly for the
sake of avoiding a line break.

Further I don't find the relation from the topic Frescobaldi to lilybin. Both are valuable but distinct, aren't they?

In the case of our workshop, lilybin served a fallback solution in case someone
failed to install Frescobaldi for whatever reason. So yes, they are of course
distinct, but a relation arises from the context of the workshop.

Please keep in mind that these slides were designed for very specific
circumstances, they were never meant to serve as a generic Lilypond
introduction that can stand for itself!

Best,
flo.H
