Thank you for your response.

If the command is deleted the treble clef appears before the repeat sign and would conflict with the bass clef at the beginning of the repeated section.

The clef should appear after the repeat sign.

\once \override Score.BreakAlignment #'break-align-orders = #(make-vector 3 '( bar clef key ))

 

Then they appear correct to my eyes.
