Hi list,
despite the fact that the current documentation allows for
\tempo 4 = 67 ~ 80
see

I got an error when I use it:
syntax error, unexpected EVENT_IDENTIFIER
\tempo 4 = 67
~ 80
I am using the current development version 2.17.27
