Changing timing / tempo alike transpose

Hello dear Lilypond fellows,

is there a way to change the timing of a whole score at once?
(Unfortunately I couldn't find this right away)

Example
> \changeTiming 3/8 3/4         %
> {
>   \time 3/8
>   c8 d e | f g a | g4.
> }
would be equivalent to
> \time 3/4
> c4 d e | f g a | g2.

Btw: The solution should not mess with the lyrics.
