Welcome to LilyPond!

If you'd like to put a note in parenthesis, simply add this command:
\parenthesize 

...to whichever pitches you which to enclose.

If you want to put simple text/characters below a note, just use this:

_" your text here or characters "

(underscore and then your text in quotes)
