Now I have to take that one back: there is such a directory:
address@hidden:~$ ls /tmp/DenemoneMNfd/
denemoprintA.ly  denemoprintB.ly

I just happened to type the ls command in a window logged into a
different computer.

The rest is pretty much as described.
