I am not sure if this is due to being in development, but I wanted to send a note that the man pages for lilypond, musicxml2ly and such for 2.17.x have version 2.14.2 in the title text of the man page doc.

the man pages are part of your distro lilypond package

$ apt-cache policy lilypond

will return 2.14.2  in your case
