I am working on a piece containing several parts. Each part is in a
partn.lyp file. A part can have multiple versions.
So I work with variables and tags.
In the master file I include the partn.lyp files.
The partn.lyp files contain definitions like
partname = "Part N"
music = \relative c'' { a b c d }
within the book I use \partname and \music.
The question is:
Has a variable definition to be outside any environment,
or is it possible to define, set or override the variable music within
an environment.
for instance the \book environment.
My ultimate goal is that with one include statement in the master file a
part is added to the piece.
Or with a few % % for the other includes I can concentrate on the part
on hand.
