Hi,

I am creating a header with something like

composer = \markup {

   \right-column { [...]

What should I do if I want the lines inside the composer column to be
vertically spaced closer to each other, so that the column takes less
vertical space?

Hi Martin,

have a look at the documentation of \override here:
  http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/other
It shows the example of overriding baseline-skip, which is exactly what you want.

Best,
Alexander
