Automatic fit-to page staff spacing help

I currently use something like this to help space out staves evenly on a page:

\paper {
 system-system-spacing = #'((basic-distance . 1.0) (padding . 8))
}

Is there a better or automatic way to just have LilyPond automatically use all available space on a page and space staves evenly instead of having to specify the system-system-spacing?
