I'm not convinced you read the link about tiny examples that I sent :-)

Anyway: verses are stanzas, so have a look at

http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.19/Documentation/notation/stanzas#adding-stanza-numbers

+1 for using _ for melisma on the alleluia.
