Also, the NR shows a different way in
http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/techniques-specific-to-lyrics#lyrics-and-repeats
Scroll down to
"More verses may be added in a similar way:"
Simply delete the "\repeat volta 3"-command.
