Hi Werner,

Using fc-list, I see that of all the large number of fonts on my system, pretty much the only one that has no spaces in the field ‘fullname’ is the font in question (some obscure Asian ones with complex names also.)

Using the fullname with no spaces makes the font work just fine in lilypond with no problems. The font works fine in other apps and on other OS’s.

I suspect therefore this may be the cause.
