Frescobaldi provides a master variable (should be in the manual somewhere). But you can also pin a document to always be compiled using the LIlyPond=>Always compile this document function (which is also available through the document tab.

Hi,

I use Lilypond with Frescobaldi. I have a master document and five
documents of the Missa I am working on. When I change something within
third document (set) I am obliged to change to the master to compile the
Missa. Is there any known construct that will allow the Master to be
compiled from within a subdocument. In emacs there is something like
%master and %variable at the file to indicate a master document.
Texstudio has a project and the master declared. I wonder whether there
is also such a way in Lilypond respectively Frescobaldi.

Thank you for any help.

Regards

Bernhard
