to be to simply delete the cache, prompting a rebuild, so it's not
a big deal for most of us.

It's not a big deal if you know it!

Because it's a very annoying issue and it makes a very bad impression it would be nice if it was mentioned somewhere where you donwload the application. Just my two cents....
