Good point.

I did this and after some error management I got the compiling going fine. Thanks.

It seems clear that the system cannot find the lilypond executable.  Have you tried adding the path to lilypond to your PATH variable?

Subject: Need help with lilypond-book

Dear all,

I need some help on getting Lilypond to work with LaTeX. I have worked with both for quite some time now, but am unable to compile my .lytex.

For a start, I did not write my own scripts, but tried examples from different websites like:
https://martin-thoma.com/how-to-write-music-with-latex/
https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/280287/how-to-easily-include-ly-files-in-a-tex-document

I understand that the compiling code should be entered via the command prompt, and figured out that (probably) I will need to specify paths to my Lilypond and LaTeX installations.. but commands inside the lilybook-script seem to apply to the working directory.. I'm confused.

I have probably miswritten or forgotten something small. If you can help me, this would be greetly apprieciated! Thanks!

This is my command prompt input and output:
PS C:\Users\jc410\OneDrive\Documenten\Music\LaTeX Projects\Test> C:\"Program Files (x86)"\Lilypond\usr\bin\lilypond-book --pdf lilybook.lytex
lilypond-book.py (GNU LilyPond) 2.18.2
