I'm enjoying this discussion. I tried Torsten Hämmerle's example, copied-and-pasted from post to Frescobaldi. I generated the PDF, and out of habit zoomed in to max to watch the flawless line scaling.

A tiny flaw appeared while approaching 1200% magnification: the reversed fretboard's upper corners don't quite meet squarely. See attached PNG. (Version info here: Windows 7 Pro 64bit SP 1, LilyPond 2.19.80, Frescobaldi 3.0.1)

This reminds me of the fix-in-progress for issue 3653.
