Hello,
I previously complained about RTP paquets which intervals constantly
change at the transmitting side. Yes, instead of constant 20 ms (±
epsilon), wireshark shows discret values 0 ms, 10 ms, 20 ms, 30 ms, 40
ms, 50 ms (± epsilon) intervals, with a noticeable periodicity, no
matter the remote side is Linphone, another softphone or my VoIP
provider. This periodicity makes me thinking it looks like a
relaxation phenomenon, something like a bad feedback loop effect. Is
relaxation the right word in english ? Perhaps "pumping" is a better
word ?
In any way, not any softphones send RTCP packets and my VoIP provider
doesn't, so I think the "Adaptive bitrate control" mediatreamer2's
feature cannot work usefully when I have a call with a PSTN subscriber.
How could I disable this feature ? Only a developer, that unfortunatly
I am not, could say what to change in what file(s) before re-compiling
linphone 3.6.0 or 3.6.1. Many thanks in advance.
