I have built 3.7.0 from source on Linux Mint 16, which is based on Ubuntu 13.10,
Saucy Salamander".
On startup, linphone 3.7.0 always segfaults immediately on initial start up,
but if I try restarting
it one, two, or even three times it eventually runs.
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

As it appears to be related to a connection to sip.iptel.ORG <enter conspiracy
mode>
maybe the linphone developers do not want linphone users to use that sip
service ...
;+) ;+) ;+)
Also, linphone 3.7.0 (as was the case with earlier version) still does not
produce sound with PulseAudio
even though pavumeter shews the sound going to the output device (and the sound
level control is
turned up) and I have to select the ALSA device its-self in order to hear any
sound.
And another thing which has bugged me for a very long time, where is the missing
linphone.png pixmap file and in which directory should it be installed?
** (linphone:27284): WARNING **: Couldn't find pixmap file: linphone.png
Sadly my continual experience with linphone on the GNU/Linux platform is that
it is
not reliable.
