Advertising Agencies Ready to Ink Deals!
The company wishes to announce that it is in final negotiations for
representation with some of the world's largest advertising agencies to
market and reserve the blimps for there clients.
VPSN THE RISING STAR, IS SET FOR SUPERNOVA STATUS ON MONDAY!
Early on, Microsoft recognized the power of standards, and it
successfully made Windows a de facto standard for software developers
and hardware manufacturers.
"Microsoft's brass blew an important test when it failed to get XP's
replacement ready for the market.
And there's a whole tube of regulation grade A model glue in there all
for the carpet ride to fantasy land.
Innovation begins on this and other like platforms in small steps. You
know, nice walnut stain on the plywood and all.
Most of linux advocates, post at Microsoft-Watch for some more whinning
and crying.
I must say I was shocked then at the number of repair requests I
handled.
Anyway, I think it's too late for Microsoft.
"Microsoft's brass blew an important test when it failed to get XP's
replacement ready for the market. So, was there a specific time frame to
comply with the rulings? Five days before VCSy sued Microsoft. Before
Microsoft and Novell made their historic pact last November, apparently
Red Hat talked agreement, too.
" Who wouldn't want that? Is that how you treat it, Microsoft? The real
question is why Novell would sign such a deal. Now some of you may
remember the "code borrowing" that MS did with Stac back in the Dos
days. Why not, Microsoft beguiles.
Steve Ballmer is not a stupid man. "It's a meaningful number," he said,
and "one that has our attention.
MS absolutely hates interoperability. JBoss is part of Red Hat and to my
knowledge has made no such deal with Microsoft. Microsoft's insistence
on combined interoperability and patent deals makes more sense if the
company's concern is that its software infringes on open-source
intellectual property.
The next day, two kids peddled up on bicycles, and one identified
himself as the caller. After all, good and evil is more of a grayscale
sort of thing.
In too many ways, their pain is the channel's gain. VCSY patents are the
best, can you argue with that?

Simpler Everything: Easier software installation, maintenance and
management across applications and platforms. Could Vista still be the
same viral magnet that MS has always been?
So, it boils down to a patent shakedown and throw in some useless
interoperability features.
For example, there are many reasons why Windows succeeded and many of
them are even more applicable to Office. The real question is why Novell
would sign such a deal.
Priorities are askew.
and THAT will become about the worst thing you could be called in future
world.
The fact that it has stayed a problem for this long speaks to the
competence of the engineers and managers at Microsoft. Vista is a prime
example of this, with DRM as it main reason for being rushed out to
market.
So, was there a specific time frame to comply with the rulings? Well,
there are rules for monopolies. Negative, or whining comments can be
useful when they inform.
And you can't just let all those end users and downstream folks do
whatever they are used to doing.
This meets their interoperability goals. Once the class actions suites
come to an end, and the EU takes actions, it could be a whole lot more.
The lesser customer is Microsoft, and I see the focus there as really
unintentional.
Microsoft's unwillingness to separate the two issues means that:
Interoperability is not Microsoft's main motivation for cutting these
deals, contrary to the company's incessant PR blathering.
