 I've never tried doing this, but I'm preemptively not optimistic too. I
think using KVM to run Cygwin would be a much more practical idea.

 Amazing that Cygwin looks at the exact bytes of ntdll.dll code to find
some undocumented internal function to call. I guess it must be worth it,
for whatever reason, but this still looks completely crazy to me.

 Anyhow, I'm afraid I really can't help with this problem, so I'd just like
to reiterate once again that IMO having a "genuine" MSW version in a VM is
still unavoidable when doing MSW development, as undesirable as it could
be.
