Greetings to everyone on the Lout mailing list.

I'm back from holidays and open for suggestions for new features for
the next release of Lout, which I'm working on now.  Especially I'd
like to hear about anything that seems to be a bug:  if you don't
tell me, I can't fix it.  (Please don't resend anything, I archive
all my Lout mail.)

The good news is that I have implemented horizontal galleys and an
application of them to drop capitals.  The extremely good news is
that I have implemented optimal galley breaking, which applies the
TeX optimal paragraph breaking algorithm (already used in Lout to
break paragraphs) to the problem of optimally breaking the body text
of your document into pages.  In other words, no more ugly white
spaces at the bottom of pages preceding large in-line displays that
didn't fit.  Works like magic.
