This should already be happening, courtesy of the @InitialBreak
default value, which is:

    @InitialBreak { {adjust 1.20fx hyphen} @OrIfPlain {ragged 1fx nohyphen} }

That is, if plain text output is in effect, set the initial break
to ragged 1fx nohyphen.
