Ok, I have now installed lout-3.24 to use this feature.
The output looks the same way like with lout-3.17.
But I got a message to stderr:
###############
lout file "verb_lout.lout":
42,2: 784.4c object too high for 23.7c space; will try elsewhere
###############
To "try" it elswhere is not enough. :-(
Maybe it can be acchieved to break verbatim input
into pages?
The included document has 1544 lines.
This is definitely too much to put it on one page.
Ciao,
Oliver
